Daikon «MINOVASI RS» – one of the best early varieties of Japanese radish, distinguished by high yield and fast maturity period. The vegetative period is from 50 to 65 days, which allows to get root crops already after two months of sowing.
The roots of the variety have an elongated-conical shape, length from 40 to 55 cm and diameter up to 9 cm, mass of each root – 1.2–1.5 kg. The flesh is tender, without bitterness and spiciness, which makes the product especially pleasant in fresh form and when making salads.
«MINOVASI RS» is distinguished by good resistance to heat and low tendency to bolting, as well as color stability. Thanks to these properties, root crops retain an attractive appearance and taste even after long storage. In the diet, they are valued for the content of vitamins and mineral elements, which makes them a useful addition in kidney and liver diseases.
For growing, loose fertile soil with good moisture and sufficient lighting is necessary. The variety is suitable both for fresh consumption, as well as for boiling, stewing, pickling, and for short storage in a cool place.
