A systemic fungicide with dual-action mechanism for protecting a wide range of crops against various fungal diseases.
Description
Synergy of Two Chemical Classes: How Impact K Works
The efficiency of the fungicide Impact K from the Danish company Cheminova is based on a combination of two active ingredients: carbendazim (benzimidazoles) and flutriafol (triazoles). This solution combines preventive and curative effects, allowing for the control of pathogens at various stages of their development.
Flutriafol provides immediate systemic action. Possessing high mobility within plant tissues, it rapidly reaches infection zones and inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis in fungal cells, leading to an immediate cessation of mycelial growth. Meanwhile, carbendazim interferes with the nuclear division process (mitosis) of fungal cells, making it essential for managing root rots and leaf spots.
Technical Specifications and Application Rates
The product is formulated as a suspension concentrate, which ensures the stability of the spray solution and uniform distribution over the leaf surface. Due to its systemic action, Impact K provides protection even to plant parts that were not directly covered by droplets during spraying.
- Scope of Application: from cereal crops (wheat, barley) to legumes and industrial crops (soybeans, sunflowers, beets).
- Effectiveness: suppresses a wide range of pathogens, including alternaria, septoria, rust, fusarium, and cercosporella.
- Application Guidelines: the application rate varies from 0.5 to 1.0 L/ha depending on the phytosanitary conditions and the crop. The maximum number of treatments is 2.
- Pre-harvest Interval: at least 20–30 days must pass between the last application and harvest, which is crucial for planning the harvest campaign.
Rated under hazard class 3, the product requires standard precautions when handling agrochemicals. The use of Impact K allows not only for containing localized disease outbreaks but also for protecting yield potential during critical growth phases, preventing premature senescence of leaves and stems.
