Description
Origin — Ailin × Canadian 80-56-19. Breeder — Southern Ural Research Institute of Fruit and Vegetable Growing and Potato Cultivation. Authors: K.K. Mullaynov, A.E. Pankratova. Introduced into the State Register in 2002 for the Ural region.
Tree medium-sized, spreading crown of medium density, medium leafiness. Bark color (on sunny side) dark brown. Young shoot: anthocyanin coloration at tip (10-15 cm long shoot) — weak. One-year-old shoot: average number of tubercles, protruding. Size of tubercle under vegetative bud small. Branching strong. Bud (vegetative and generative) medium, pressed. Leaf blade round, medium, intensity of green coloration on upper side medium, base obtuse, apex short-pointed, tip sharp, margin serrated, serration weak. Petiole short, thin, anthocyanin coloration on upper and lower sides medium. Predominant number of glands — one, size medium. Flower medium, stigma above anthers. Petals round, moderately closed. Calyx cup-shaped. Pedicel very short. Flowering and fruiting type — predominantly on shortened shoots (bouquet branches and spurs).
Fruit weight 22-23 g, round shape, suture absent. Depth of depression at pedicel base — medium. Apex depressed, tip absent. Surface smooth, main skin color red. Anthocyanin coloration of skin medium size and medium intensity, isolated spots. Flesh yellow, fibrous texture, flesh density medium, detachability from pit medium. Pit round, medium weight (7.3% of flesh). Fresh pit color dark brown. Apex shape narrowly round, dorsal suture narrowly open, ventral suture medium. Central rib prominence medium, lateral ribs weakly visible.
Fruit appearance excellent (5.0 points). Flesh sugar content high, acidity low. Flesh aroma medium. Taste rating — excellent (4.5 points). Dry detachment of pedicel from fruit. Pests: hairy caterpillar, caterpillar, winter sawfly, fruit fly, California scale, false scale, fruit moth, American white butterfly — no damage or very weak.
