Description
ALTAYSKAYA 110 is a variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) of medium maturity and medium height. The vegetative period ranges from 77 to 99 days, ensuring simultaneous ripening with standard varieties. The plant is characterized by an erect bush and weak straw with very strong wax bloom on the ear, the upper node of the straw, and the sheath of the flag leaf. The ear is pyramid-shaped, of medium density, white in color, with short awn-like appendages at the tip. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 32 to 41 grams, and the grain is colored. The shoulder of the ear is bent and of medium width, the earlet is slightly curved and short. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Western Siberian and Eastern Siberian regions, including the Rubtsovskaya-Aleyskaya steppe, the foothills of the Altai of the Altai Krai, and the Republic of Khakassia. In these zones, the variety demonstrates an average yield of about 25.9 centners per hectare, which corresponds to the level of standards. In the Altai Krai and the Republic of Khakassia, an increase in yield is noted compared to the Altayskaya 100 and Omskaya 33 varieties, respectively. The maximum recorded yield reached 62.3 c/ha in the Omsk region. The variety differs in its stability to lodging and drought at the level of the Altayskaya 100 variety, which makes it high-intensity and reliable for agricultural production. The baking qualities of the variety are good, which confirms its value for the production of quality flour. However, the variety shows moderate susceptibility to powdery bunt and stem rust, and is susceptible to hard bunt, root rots, brown rust, powdery mildew, and septoria. This requires the application of appropriate agrotechnical and protective measures to maintain the health of the crops. Overall, ALTAYSKAYA 110 represents a balanced variety with good yield and grain quality, adapted to the conditions of Western and Eastern Siberia.
