AmaTus is a semi-dwarf early-maturing winter wheat variety, distinguished by rapid grain filling and early maturity. Due to its high drought and cold tolerance, the variety effectively resists risks associated with high temperatures during the heading stage, which is particularly relevant for Ukraine's climatic conditions. Medium-height plants exhibit high lodging resistance, contributing to stable yields even under adverse weather conditions.
The variety is characterized by high yield potential, reaching 80–100 centners per hectare, along with high grain quality and excellent tillering. The 1000-grain weight ranges from 47.8 to 51.4 grams, indicating grain size and quality. The crude protein content is at a medium level — approximately 13.3–13.5%, while the crude gluten content is 26.9–29.1%, ensuring average bread volume and good technological properties of the grain.
