Winter wheat "Arista", developed by Private Joint Stock Company "Selena" in collaboration with Semillas Batlle, is an intensive variety engineered for high performance in Ukrainian climatic zones. With a vegetation period of 270–280 days, the variety exhibits stable growth dynamics, reaching a height of 90–100 cm. These parameters ensure an optimal balance between biomass development and efficient nutrient accumulation in the grain.

Morphology and Resistance

A key feature of "Arista" is its awned spike, which, combined with excellent lodging resistance, minimizes harvest losses and simplifies field operations. The technical value of the grain is confirmed by a gluten content of 25–30%, classifying it as a high-value wheat for the milling industry. A thousand-kernel weight (TKW) of 40–45 grams indicates excellent kernel filling and quality.

Phytosanitary Profile

The variety’s breeding focused on complex resistance to key pathogens that limit the productivity of winter cereals:

• Brown and yellow rust;
