BASHKIRSKAYA 29

Hard spring wheat of the Bashkirskaya 29 variety is a mid-season variety with a vegetative period ranging from 77 to 93 days, maturing 1-2 days later than the Bezenchukskaya 182 variety. The plant is of medium height with a pyramidal ear of medium length and density, white in color. The grain is elongated and white, with the mass of 1000 grains varying from 39 to 51 grams. The variety belongs to the leukorum subgroup and is characterized by medium resistance to lodging and drought, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including the Samara region and zones of the Chelyabinsk region with semiarid and arid climates. Bashkirskaya 29 is distinguished by good pasta-making qualities, which confirms its demand in the production of products from hard wheat varieties. The average yield in approved regions is about 18.6 c/ha, while the maximum yield recorded in the Kurgan region in 2022 reached 4.6 t/ha. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Ural region and the Middle Volga region, confirming its adaptability and stability in various agro-climatic conditions. In terms of disease resistance, Bashkirskaya 29 shows moderate susceptibility to brown rust and susceptibility to powdery bunt, powdery mildew, and septoria. Under field conditions, it is weakly affected by powdery bunt and brown rust, however, septoria can cause significant damage. These features require attention when choosing protection methods and crop care to ensure maximum productivity and crop quality.
