BEZENCHUKSKAYA 380

BEZENCHUKSKAYA 380 is a variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), characterized by medium maturity and medium height. This variety is distinguished by its high winter hardiness and resistance to shattering and grain germination in the ear during delayed harvesting. The mass of 1000 grains ranges from 35 to 42 grams, and the protein content in the grain is 14-16%, which ensures good and excellent baking qualities. The grain has an oval shape and an amber-brown color, while the ear is spindle-shaped, large, and of medium density.

The variety was developed by individual selection for winter hardiness and grain quality at NPO "Sredne-Volzhskoye" and recommended for cultivation in the Central, Volga-Vyatka, Central-Black Earth, Middle-Volga, and Ural regions. It possesses above-average drought resistance, is resistant to powdery mildew and loose smut in the Lower Volga region, although it is susceptible to brown and stem rust, septoria, and snow mold, which requires fungicidal treatments to protect crops.

BEZENCHUKSKAYA 380 is distinguished by its high yield: in competitive trials at the Samara NIISKh, it reached 30.8 c/ha, and the maximum yield in the Lipetsk region in 2005 was 73.1 c/ha. The variety is resistant to lodging, is ecologically plastic, and possesses a strong vegetative mass, which makes it attractive for agricultural production to obtain high-quality grain and high yields.
