BG Unigold

BG Unigold is a winter wheat variety with high and stable yield, successfully adapting to various climatic conditions. It features an optimal genetic balance between high yield potential and drought resistance, enabling uniform grain filling along the entire ear. The variety has a dense panicle type and consistently exhibits its best qualities when sown early or at optimal times, especially under intensive cultivation technologies.

Plants reach an average height of about 81 cm, with a 1000-grain weight of 42 g. Protein content in the grain reaches 13.8%, and gluten content is 30%, ensuring high product quality. The Hagberg Falling Number (HFN) is 370 seconds, indicating good baking suitability of the grain. The variety shows high resistance to major diseases, such as powdery mildew, yellow and brown rust, leaf septoria, root rot caused by cercospora, and fusarium ear rot, with tolerance ratings ranging from 7 to 8 points.

Additionally, BG Unigold has good winter hardiness (7 points), high drought resistance (8 points), and resistance to lodging (8 points), making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various regions. Yield over the period 2018–2024 ranged from 8.10 to 9.1 t/ha, confirming its productivity and stability.
