Description
BULGUN is a variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), characterized by a medium-to-early maturation period and a medium-height plant type. The vegetative period of the variety varies by region, ranging from 223 to 328 days. Plants reach a height of 74 to 102 cm, featuring a cylindrical ear of medium density with white coloration and an ovate grain with a long awn. The mass of 1,000 grains ranges from 35 to 46 grams, indicating good yield potential. The variety belongs to the lutescens group and possesses excellent baking qualities. BULGUN is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Lower Volga and Central Volga regions, Stavropol Krai, Kalmykia Republic, Samara Region, Tatarstan Republic, and Ulyanovsk Region. The variety is distinguished by drought resistance, exceeding certain standards in this indicator, as well as medium to above-average winter hardiness depending on growing conditions. Lodging resistance in the variety is slightly lower compared to some benchmark varieties, however, this is compensated by other agronomic advantages. BULGUN demonstrates moderate susceptibility to diseases such as brown rust and septoria, as well as susceptibility to ear fusarium. At the same time, the variety exhibits high resistance to powdery bunt, powdery mildew, and stem rust, as well as low susceptibility to solid bunt. These characteristics make it a reliable choice for agricultural production, ensuring crop stability and grain quality. Thanks to its properties, the BULGUN variety is widely used in the food industry and is an important crop for the agricultural sector.
