CONSTANTA 22 is a type of intensive winter soft wheat variety developed at the Federal Rostov Agricultural Research Center. It is distinguished by high and stable grain yield, reaching 6.90 tons per hectare, as well as low plant height of about 86 cm, which contributes to resistance to lodging. The variety has high frost resistance and resistance to winter factors, ensuring reliable overwintering and crop preservation.
The feature of Constanta 22 is increased protein content (14.2%) and gluten (22.2%), which improves bread-making qualities of grain. Thanks to these characteristics, wheat is suitable for the production of high-quality flour and bakery products. In addition, the variety demonstrates field resistance to pathogens common in the Southern and Central Federal Districts of Russia.
The Constanta 22 variety is distinguished by high adaptability and resistance to adverse environmental factors, including late spring frosts. This makes it universal for growing in various regions of Russia, ensuring stable and high yields even in difficult climatic conditions.
