Dagmar

Winter wheat variety Dagmar is a early-maturing and mid-maturing bread wheat variety of class B, characterized by high plasticity and stable yield. This variety is recommended for cultivation in various climatic zones, including Polesie, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe, and successfully adapts to the conditions of most regions of Ukraine. Dagmar is characterized by high tillering capacity and optimal sowing dates, which contribute to achieving maximum yield at a seeding rate of 3.5 to 5.5 million germinating seeds per hectare.

The variety has a high yield potential, reaching 10.0 t/ha (100 c/ha), and is distinguished by excellent grain quality. Protein content varies from 13.0 to 14.2%, and the 1000-grain weight is approximately 43.2 g. Wheat Dagmar also exhibits high gluten content (27.3-28.7%) and flour strength ranging from 260 to 334 arbitrary units, making it especially valuable for bread-making purposes. Application of gray fertilizer enhances both yield and grain quality.

The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness and resistance to lodging, shattering, and premature germination of grain. Moreover, Dagmar exhibits high resistance to a range of diseases and stress factors, ensuring stable yields even under adverse conditions. Recommended for cultivation in regions of Ukraine such as Ivano-Frankivska, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipro, Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Lviv, Poltava, Sumy, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv.
