DONSKAYA YUBILEYNAIA

Donskaya Yubileynaya is a soft winter wheat variety obtained through intraspecific hybridization using the Donskaya bezostaya and Donskaya polukarlikovaya varieties. This semi-dwarf variety is characterized by an average plant height of about 84 cm and a spindle-shaped, slightly compressed, short, and dense head. The mass of 1000 grains is 40-44 g, indicating large-grainedness and high raw material quality. The variety belongs to the erythrospermum type and is distinguished by its medium-early maturity, heading and ripening 1-2 days earlier than the standard Ermak variety.

Donskaya Yubileynaya possesses high drought resistance and medium frost resistance, making it adapted to the climatic conditions of the North Caucasus region. Plants demonstrate high resistance to lodging, which contributes to yield preservation. Disease resistance is at a medium level: the variety is moderately resistant to yellow rust, powdery mildew, and loose smut, but moderately susceptible to brown rust.

The average yield of the variety in competitive trials is about 7.8-8.5 t/ha, while the grain productivity potential reaches 9.0-10.0 t/ha. Donskaya Yubileynaya is recommended for sowing on fallows with a high crop canopy, which allows its potential to be fully realized. The variety has excellent milling and baking qualities, belongs to the list of strong grain varieties, making it in demand for the production of high-quality flour and bakery products. The optimal sowing rate is 4.0-5.0 million viable seeds per hectare.
