Gardemarin — a high-yielding variety of hard winter wheat, recommended for cultivation in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones. This variety is characterized by a short stem height of 90–105 cm and high resistance to lodging, ensuring crop resilience under adverse weather conditions. The vegetation period lasts 277–290 days, making it a medium-early variety with frost and winter hardiness rated from medium to above medium (5–7 points). Drought resistance is rated as good (6–7 points), and it also exhibits high resistance to common diseases (8–9 points), making it a reliable choice for farmers. The quality of Gardemarin wheat meets the requirements of the highest quality standard. The 1000-grain weight varies from 39.5 to 47.8 grams, with test weight ranging 795–810 g/l. Protein content in the grain is 13.4–15.7%, and gluten content is 29.7–35.1%, ensuring high product quality. Due to these characteristics, this variety is ideal for pasta production, with product quality rated 4.5–5.0 points. To achieve maximum yield, planting should be conducted during optimal periods: from September 20 to 25 in the Steppe zone and from September 15 to 20 in southern areas of the Forest-Steppe, using the best preceding crops. The recommended seeding rate is approximately 5.0 million seeds per hectare, with planting depth of 4–6 cm.
