KINELSKAYA 60

KINELSKAYA 60 is a soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) variety of medium maturity type, characterized by medium plant height and erect culms. The ear is hollow with a strong waxy bloom on the upper internode, and the flag leaf is covered with a pronounced waxy bloom. The ear is cylindrical, medium density, white in color with long awns along the entire length. The grain is elongated and colored, with a medium-length awn. The weight of 1000 grains varies from 26 to 41 grams depending on the growing region. The variety forms food grain not lower than Class 3 and possesses good baking qualities. KINELSKAYA 60 differs in medium-high resistance to lodging, medium drought resistance, and resistance to a number of diseases. It shows resistance to powdery mildew and root rots, is slightly susceptible to common bunt, and moderately susceptible to loose smut and brown rust. Thanks to these characteristics, the variety is well adapted to various climatic conditions, confirmed by its inclusion in the State Register for the Middle Volga and Ural regions, as well as recommendations for cultivation in the Samara and Orenburg regions. The average yield of the variety in the Middle Volga region is about 24.5 c/ha, making it attractive for agricultural production.
