NOVOSIBIRSKAYA 29 is a variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) of the lutescens type, characterized by a medium-early maturing period and a medium plant height. The vegetation period lasts about 80-96 days, allowing it to mature simultaneously with standard varieties or slightly earlier. The bush is semi-erect, the straw has a strong waxy coating and hairiness on the upper node, and the ear is cylindrical, loose, and white. The mass of 1000 grains varies within 36-44 grams, and the grain is elongated with a long awn.

The variety differs in high resistance to lodging and sprouting on the root, which ensures yield stability. Yield in the West Siberian region reaches an average of 27 centners per hectare, which is 1 centner higher than the average standard, and in individual regions, such as Novosibirsk Oblast, indicators can reach 35-40 centners per hectare. The maximum registered yield was 54 centners per hectare. The variety has good baking qualities, with protein content in grain up to 17% and gluten up to 37%, making it valuable for producing quality flour.

NOVOSIBIRSKAYA 29 is recommended for cultivation in the regions of Western and Eastern Siberia, including the Altai Krai, Kemerovo and Novosibirsk Oblasts, as well as the Republic of Buryatia. The variety has medium drought resistance and high resistance to powdery bunt and brown rust, but is susceptible to solid bunt, stem rust, powdery mildew, and septoria. These features require a careful approach to plant protection during the vegetation period to ensure maximum productivity.
