OMGAU 90

OMGAU 90 is a variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) of medium maturity type, belonging to the Eritrospermum group. The plant is medium height with a semi-erect bush and weak straw, ensuring resistance to lodging. The ear is pyramidal, of medium density, white in color with short awns, and the grain is colored. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 32 to 41 grams, indicating the large-grained nature of the variety. The waxy coating on the ear and the upper internode of the straw is expressed quite strongly, which contributes to plant protection.

The variety is distinguished by high drought resistance and resistance to diseases, in particular to brown rust and solid bunt, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various regions, including Western Siberia, Volga-Vyatka, and Ural. OMGAU 90 is recommended for cultivation in the Altai Krai, Perm Krai, as well as in Kurgan, Orenburg, Chelyabinsk, Kemerovo, and Novosibirsk regions. The yield of the variety is stable and high: under optimal conditions it reaches up to 4.7 t/ha, and under dry conditions maintains productivity at the level of 3.65 t/ha.

The quality of the grain of the OMGAU 90 variety is evaluated as excellent or satisfactory depending on the region, which allows it to be used for bread-making purposes. The variety is included in the list of strong wheat and has good bread-making qualities, which makes it in demand among producers.
