Description
Wheat variety 'Pani Olya' is an extra-strong, mid-season, high-yielding variety with a short stem ranging from 67 to 84 cm. This variety is characterized by high cold and drought resistance, ensuring its reliability under various climatic conditions. The thousand-grain weight varies from 43.0 to 55.6 grams, and the gluten content is 33–34%, indicating high grain quality.
The variety exhibits resistance to major wheat diseases, including brown, stem, and yellow rust, powdery mildew, hard and fumigant smut, fusarium, and is tolerant to leaf septoria, peronosporosis, and root rots. Due to these characteristics, 'Pani Olya' does not require fungicide application during the vegetative period, making it especially attractive for organic farming and eco-friendly production.
The variety competes well with weeds in the ecosystem and demonstrates high productive tillering. It is suitable for cultivation in various natural-climatic zones, including steppe, forest-steppe, and meadow regions, with yields of 58.8, 69.3, and 59.8 centners per hectare, respectively. The seed sowing depth is 2.0–3.5 cm, which is optimal for successful germination and plant development.
