Priazovska

Priazovska — this is an autumn hard wheat variety of Triticum durum Desf., developed at the Institute of Plant Growing named after V. Ya. Yuryev of NAAN and registered in 2017. This universal-use variety is characterized by high yield and adaptability to growing conditions, making it suitable for cultivation in steppe, forest-steppe, and forest zones. Plants are medium-maturing with a vegetation period of about 275 days, have low stature (75–90 cm) and strong stems resistant to lodging. Priazovska has medium winter hardiness rated at 7 points, ensuring stable winter survival under temperate climate conditions. Potential grain yield exceeds 10 tons per hectare, and grain quality is characterized by high protein content (15.2–16.8 %) and gluten (34 %). Thanks to these indicators, the wheat is suitable for producing high-quality pasta products. The variety demonstrates comprehensive resistance to biotic and abiotic factors, contributing to stable high yields even under adverse conditions.
