Stability and Yield Potential

Developed by the National Scientific Center “Institute of Agriculture of NAAS”, the winter wheat variety “Rusyava” represents years of breeding aimed at balancing high productivity with environmental plasticity. This Ukrainian-bred variety has firmly established itself in the intensive cultivation segment, where predictability of result is the key factor for success.

Biological Traits and Crop Protection

“Rusyava” is an awned variety with a plant height of 110-120 cm. The growing season lasts between 280 and 290 days, allowing the crop to efficiently utilize moisture during the early spring period. A major strength of this variety is its genetically inherited immunity to a complex of dangerous pathogens:

• brown wheat rust;
• septoria;
• fusarium head blight;
• powdery mildew.

The resistance to fusarium makes the variety highly sought after in regions with high infection risks, minimizing fungicide costs and reducing mycotoxin content in the final product.

Agronomic Value

The thousand-grain weight of 45-50 grams indicates good grain filling and high quality. The variety is geared toward agricultural enterprises relying on high-quality domestic seed material that combines adaptability to local climatic conditions with significant yield potential. “Rusyava” demonstrates excellent performance under the moderate climate of Ukraine, confidently withstanding the stresses typical of winter cereal farming.
