SHATILOV'S MEMORY

Shatilov's Memory is a soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) variety characterized by medium maturity and medium height. The vegetation period ranges from 211 to 269 days. The plant is of medium length, resistant to lodging, which helps preserve the yield and facilitates harvesting. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 37 to 45 grams, and the baking qualities of the grain are rated as good, making this variety attractive for the production of high-quality flour and bakery products.

The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and frost resistance, ensuring its reliable development in cold climates. Drought resistance in Shatilov's Memory is slightly higher than that of the Yuzhanka variety standard, allowing for successful cultivation in regions with insufficient moisture. It is resistant to powdery mildew and septoria, moderately susceptible to brown and yellow rust, and susceptible to Fusarium head blight and common bunt.

Shatilov's Memory was created by crossing two selection lines and the Moskva variety, which provided it with high adaptability and yield, especially when cultivated on medium and high agrobackgrounds following tilled predecessors. It is recommended for cultivation in Krasnodar Krai, Rostov Oblast, and the North Caucasian Republics, as well as in the Central and Western Delta zones of Krasnodar Krai and the Azov and Southern zones of Rostov Oblast. The average yield of the variety in the region reaches 44.0 c/ha, with maximum indicators up to 79.7 c/ha, allowing for additional income from its cultivation.
