Description
Winter wheat Storitsia is a medium-early variety with a vegetation period of about 276-280 days, belonging to the erythrospermum type. The ear is cylindrical, medium length (9.5-10 cm), and medium density (19-21 spikes per 10 cm). The spike lemma is ovate-lanceolate in shape with a straight and short awn, medium-width shoulders, and the lower floret lemma lacks a keel. The palea is short, awns are sharp, with absent or very weak anthocyanin pigmentation. The 1000-grain weight is 39-42 grams, indicating large kernels.
The Storitsia variety is characterized by high yield potential ranging from 7.13 to 10.67 tons per hectare. It exhibits good resistance to drought, heat, frost, and lodging, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones. Additionally, the variety demonstrates high resistance to major wheat diseases such as powdery mildew, rust, and septoria. Protein content in the grain ranges from 11.9% to 14%, ensuring high-quality food-grade grain.
The variety is recommended for cultivation under both intensive and conventional technologies, including irrigated conditions. The seeding rate is 5.0-6.0 million germinating seeds per hectare. When fertilizers such as 100 kg of ammonium nitrate per hectare are applied, yield increases by 3-4 centners per hectare. Seeds are supplied in 40 kg packages and are untreated. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, winter wheat Storitsia is a promising choice for agricultural production.
