ZU TAMMO

The winter soft wheat variety SU TAMMO, developed taking into account various climatic conditions, is characterized by high yield and resistance to adverse factors. This variety demonstrates frost resistance up to -10°C and drought resistance, enabling successful cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones. The vegetation period ranges from 260 to 274 days, and plant height varies from 79.4 to 90.2 cm. High thousand-grain weight, reaching 50 grams, contributes to good germination and vigor, which amount to 99%. SU TAMMO exhibits high resistance to major diseases, including root rot, powdery mildew, brown and yellow rust, septoria, and fusarium of the ear. Additionally, the variety shows resistance to pests such as the wheat midge and the stink bug, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses. Resistance to lodging and shattering is also at a high level, ensuring grain retention and simplifying harvest. The variety is intended for feed purposes and is characterized by high protein content in grain — from 13.1% to 14.3%. The recommended seeding rate is 110 kg per hectare or 4-4.5 million seeds per hectare. For grain storage, optimal conditions are a temperature range of +7 to +10°C and moisture not exceeding 10%. SU TAMMO is a versatile and economically advantageous solution for feed production, thanks to its adaptability to various soils and climatic conditions.
