Description
The variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging and drought, making it a reliable choice for regions with variable climatic conditions. Tarskaya 12 has moderate resistance to stem rust and loose smut but is susceptible to root rots, brown rust, powdery mildew, septoria, and especially to covered smut. Despite this, the variety demonstrates stable yield, reaching 3.54 tons/ha in competitive trials, which exceeds the indicators of the standard variety Azieva's Memory with a shorter maturation period.
One of the key advantages of Tarskaya 12 is the high grain quality, characterized by excellent baking properties, as well as increased protein and gluten content — 1.95% and 3.6% higher compared to standard varieties. This makes the variety in demand for the production of high-quality flour and bakery products. Due to the combination of early maturity, resistance to adverse factors, and high grain quality, Tarskaya 12 successfully competes with other varieties of similar maturity and is recommended for widespread cultivation in the northern and forest-steppe areas of the Omsk region.
