Description
The winter soft wheat variety Wodohrai Bilotserkovsky is the result of intraspecific hybridization of the varieties Elegia and Perлина Lestep, developed by Ukrainian breeders. It is a medium-maturing, awnless variety with a dense, well-filled cylindrical white ear, topped with medium-length awns. Plants have medium height, and the ear and flag leaf are covered with a dense waxy coating, which effectively prevents fungal disease penetration and development.
The variety exhibits high winter hardiness (8.6-9.0 points), resistance to lodging, and high resistance to leaf diseases (7.9-8.8 points), root rot (8.5-9.0 points), and fusarium ear disease (8.5-9.0 points). In addition, Wodohrai Bilotserkovsky has high drought tolerance (8.7-9.0 points), making it a reliable choice for cultivation under various climatic conditions.
Recommended for cultivation in the Lestep and Polissia zones of Ukraine, where it demonstrates stable yields: in the Steppe zone, 40-45 centners per hectare; in the Lestep zone — 55-60 centners per hectare; and in Polissia — 50-55 centners per hectare. The variety combines the best regional adaptability and yield performance, ensuring high-quality grain with large red kernels and stable results in cultivation.
