YUMP

YUMP is a variety of soft winter wheat distinguished by ultra-early maturity and dwarfism, with plant height of about 90-95 cm. It is characterized by resistance to lodging and shattering, which contributes to crop preservation and improved quality. The vegetative period ranges from 217 to 269 days, and the stem elongation phase occurs about 6 days later than in some other varieties, providing enhanced resistance to spring frosts. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Central and South-Foothill zones of Krasnodar Krai, as well as in the Central and Foothill zones of Stavropol Krai. YUMP exhibits high yield potential exceeding 100 ц/ha, even up to 120 ц/ha under favorable conditions. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 38 to 49 g, with large, oval-shaped grains and a natural density of 775 to 825 g/L. Due to these characteristics, the variety is included in the list of high-quality grain varieties, making it particularly in-demand for producing high-quality bakery products. The variety shows high resistance to a complex of diseases, including yellow and brown rust, powdery mildew, loose smut, and also exceeds standard varieties in resistance to stem rust, septoria, and covered smut. Moreover, YUMP demonstrates good drought tolerance and increased winter hardiness, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. These properties ensure crop stability and high grain quality even under challenging agro-technical conditions.
