Zolotokolosa

Zolotokolosa is a medium-maturing winter wheat variety of elite class belonging to the erythrospermum group. It is intended for cultivation in natural zones of steppes, forest-steppe, and Polissia, adapted to various agroclimatic conditions and suitable for intensive farming. Plants have a medium height of 92-95 cm and exhibit high resistance to lodging (8-9 points), shattering (8-9 points), as well as root rot, septoria, fusarium, brown and powdery mildew (6-7 points). The variety was registered in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine in 2006 and is recommended for universal use. Zolotokolosa has a high yield potential — up to 8.6 t/ha (86.1 c/ha), making it attractive for intensive agriculture. The grain contains 12.7-14.5% protein and 29.7-32.7% crude gluten, ensuring high flour quality. The flour strength is 328-343 units, and the loaf volume from 100 g of flour reaches 1000-1110 ml. Due to these characteristics, the variety belongs to the group of strong wheats with an overall bread-making quality rating of 4.2-4.5 points. In addition to high yield and grain quality, Zolotokolosa demonstrates resistance to frost and drought, expanding its cultivation potential under various climatic conditions. Its genetic traits ensure stability and reliability in cultivation, making it popular among farmers focused on obtaining high-quality grain and high yields.
