Description
Mid-season ripening variety, developed at the Southern Ural Research Institute of Fruit and Vegetable Growing and Potato Cultivation from open pollination of the Chulkovskaya variety. Breeders: V.S. Ilyin and A.P. Gubenko. Since 1987, included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements approved for use in the Volga-Vyatka and Ural regions.
Strong-growing, slightly spreading, dense bush. Growing shoots of medium thickness, green. Buds of medium size, elongated-oval shape with a pointed apex, slightly hairy, solitary, slightly deviated from the shoot. Petiole trace narrow, rounded.
Leaf five- to three-lobed, medium-sized, green, matte, wrinkled, blade of medium density, straight or slightly curved, wavy. Lobes pointed, central lobe slightly larger than lateral ones, broad. Angle between central veins of lateral lobes is straight or acute, lateral lobes widely spaced. Basal lobes barely visible. Leaf base straight or with small notch. Teeth medium-sized, sharp, not curled. Petiole of medium length, medium thickness, slightly hairy, green with anthocyanin coating at base.
Flowers of medium size, saucer-shaped, with noticeable rim. Sepals light yellow, with slight pink coating, touching each other, slightly curled. Inflorescences of medium length (6-7 cm) and density, hanging. Axis of medium thickness, curved, hairy, green. Petiole thin, green, medium length.
Berries medium to large (0.5-1.1 g), single, round, red. Seed count medium. Taste sour-sweet, rating 4.0 points. Berries of universal use. Receptacle round, small, closed. Fruit stalk medium length, thin. Chemical composition: titratable acidity — 3.5%, ascorbic acid — 48.3 mg/100 g.
Winter-hardy, productive, average multi-year yield is 8.0 t/ha, maximum — 23.3 t/ha (2.4-7.0 kg/plant), characterized by good self-fertility, weakly affected by powdery mildew.
Advantages of the variety: high yield, disease resistance.
Disadvantages of the variety: insufficient berry size.
