Description
Medium-ripening variety, obtained at VSTISP through interspecific crosses (parental forms unknown). Breeders: N.K. Smolyaninova, V.M. Litvinova. Since 1991, included in the State Register of Selection Achievements approved for use throughout Russia, except in the Northern, Lower Volga, and Far Eastern regions.
Bush medium-height, weakly spreading, dense. Non-woody stems of medium thickness, straight, hairless, green with reddish tips. Woody stems of medium thickness, gray-brown, hairless. Buds on short stems, solitary, elongated, large, pointed at the tip, gray-brown, hairless, pressed against the stem. Terminal bud not free. Leaf scars round.
Leaf five-lobed, medium size, green with bluish tint, hairless, matte, wrinkled, leathery. Leaf blade with wavy edges, more strongly curved along the main vein in upper leaves. Teeth along the leaf blade edge large, sharp, with barely noticeable tips. Central lobe sharp, longer than lateral lobes, lateral lobes narrow and close together. Angle between veins of lateral lobes acute. Basal lobes poorly developed. Base with central, heart-shaped notch. Petiole medium length and thickness, hairless, green.
Flowers large, cup-shaped, no visible calyx tube. Sepals brownish-red, slightly curled, free. Inflorescences medium (7-9 cm including petiole), dense. Axis medium thickness, hairy, petiole medium length.
Berries large (average mass 0.7 g, maximum 1.0 g), round, slightly elongated toward base, dark red, dry detachable. Seeds small, average quantity. Taste sour-sweet, rating 4.0 points. Berries of universal use. Receptacle large, does not fall off, closed. Pedicel medium length, green, hairless. Chemical composition: total sugars — 6.6%, titratable acidity — 3.7%, ascorbic acid — 40.0 mg/100 g.
Self-fertile, yield 14.8 t/ha (3.6 kg/plant), winter-hardy, characterized by high field resistance to pests and diseases.
Advantages of the variety: yield, berry taste, resistance to pests and diseases.
Disadvantages of the variety: with age, under the weight of fruit, the bush becomes more spreading.
