Description
Medium-ripening variety, obtained at the Institute of Fruit Growing of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus from crossing of form [1-3 x (Red Cross + Cherry)] and variety White Grape. Breeders: A.G. Voluznev, N.A. Zazulina, A.F. Raduk. Under state variety testing in Russia since 2002.
Medium-sized, slightly spreading bush with medium branching. Growing shoots are thick, straight, medium-colored with anthocyanin, hairless. Woody shoots are gray-brown, with peeling epidermis. Buds of medium size, elongated, deviated from the shoot. Petiole trace is wide, wedge-shaped.
Leaves are three- to five-lobed, medium-sized, green, blade smooth, matte, leathery. Central lobe is elongated, exceeds lateral ones, with rounded apex. Lateral lobes are long, with small notches between them, angle between central lateral veins is acute. Basal lobes are weakly expressed. Base of leaf has a central notch. Leaf margin is wavy. Teeth are blunt, short, not curled. Petiole is medium length, reddish.
Flowers are medium-sized, cream-green. Sepals are medium-sized, curled upwards. Inflorescences are medium length. Berry arrangement in inflorescence is medium. Axis is medium thickness, straight, petiole is medium length.
Berries are medium (0.7-0.8 g), one-dimensional, round, light pink, with medium seed count. Taste is sour-sweet, score 4.6 points. Berries are of universal use. Receptacle is half-open, peduncle is medium length, green. Chemical composition: soluble dry matter — 10.1%, total sugars — 6.8%, titratable acidity — 2.2%, ascorbic acid — 30.5 mg/100 g.
Winter-hardy, high-yielding (15 t/ha), resistant to American powdery mildew, characterized by good self-fertility.
Advantages of the variety: high yield.
Disadvantages of the variety: susceptibility to leaf spot diseases.
