Description
Late-ripening variety, obtained at the All-Russian Research Institute of Fruit Crop Selection from crossing the varieties Rotte Schpeltze and Jonker van Tets. Authors: L.V. Bayanova, O.D. Golieva, M.A. Makarkina, N.S. Levgerova. Under state variety testing since 2004.
Medium-height, dense, moderately spreading bush. Stems thick, green, hairless.
Leaves medium-sized, five-lobed, green, matte. Leaf blade leathery, wrinkled, concave, moderately hairy. Lobes blunt, small gaps between central and lateral lobes. Angle formed by central veins of lateral lobes is acute. Base of leaf has small notch. Teeth short and blunt. Petiole thick, long, green.
Flowers medium-sized, flat-cup-shaped. Sepals pale-colored, downward-curled, strongly twisted, not touching. Inflorescences long (10.0-14.0 cm with petiole). Petiole of inflorescence short, with anthocyanin coloration.
Berries medium to large (0.6-0.9 g), round, red, sweet-sour, with high gelling properties. Chemical composition: soluble dry matter — 12.4%, total sugars — 6.8%, titratable acidity — 2.3%, ascorbic acid — 55.3%, P-active substances — 380.0 mg/100 g, pectin substances — 11.9%.
Cold-resistant, high-yielding, average yield over multiple years is 19.9 t/ha (2.8 kg/plant at planting scheme 0.5 x 2.8 m), not affected by powdery mildew, but susceptible to anthracnose and septoria.
Advantages of the variety: high yield, pectin content and quality of processed products (jelly), resistance to powdery mildew.
Disadvantages of the variety: insufficiently high berry flavor, susceptibility to anthracnose and septoria.
