Description
Medium-ripening variety, developed at Buryat PIAOS (now Buryat Research Institute of Horticulture) by crossing varieties Velur and Gorhon. Authors: N.K. Guseva, T.I. Voronina, O.K. Zorkol'tseva. Under state variety testing since 2008.
Strong-growing, moderately spreading bush. Shoots are medium-length, straight, with a shortened, compressed apex. Buds are medium-sized, conical, light-brown, dense, densely arranged on one-year shoots with a sharp angle of deviation from the shoot.
Leaves are large and small, dark green, weakly glossy, clustered at the apex and slightly drawn downward. Leaf blade is moderately hairy with glandular hairs, slightly shiny, leathery, dense, wrinkled, slightly fleshy, straight, slightly concave at the shoot apex. Teeth are blunt, short, curled.
Flowers are medium-sized, pale pink. Stamens are positioned at the level of the pistil. Inflorescence is long (8-10 cm), central axis, straight, moderately hairy.
Berries are large (1.8-3.2 g), round, black, moderately shiny, tart-sweet flavor (5 points), tender, aromatic, versatile use. Fruit ripening is simultaneous, skin is medium-thick, dry detachment, good transportability. Pedicel is medium, green, calyx is medium, closed. Chemical composition: total sugars — 9.4-10.8%, ascorbic acid — 164.3-234.0 mg/100 g, P-active substances — 394.0-456.0 mg/100 g.
Highly winter-hardy, highly self-fertile (68-84%), resistant to bud mite and powdery mildew, easily propagated by hardwood and green cuttings, layering; average yield 9.6 t/ha, maximum — 12.0 t/ha.
