Balada Myronovska

Winter wheat soft variety Balada Myronovska is a high-yielding and mid-season variety developed by the Myronivska Institute of Wheat named after V.M. Remesla of the Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. This variety is distinguished by its high winter hardiness and drought resistance, making it particularly suitable for cultivation in the Polissia and Forest-Steppe regions. Due to its ecological plasticity and adaptive properties, Balada Myronovska demonstrates stable productivity under various climatic conditions.

The variety exhibits high resistance to major fungal diseases, such as powdery mildew, rust, leaf septoria, and Fusarium head blight, which significantly reduces yield losses and improves grain quality. The test weight of the grain is 828 g/l, and the crude protein content ranges from 13.8 to 14.5 %, ensuring high technological properties for bread and wheat flour production. The crude gluten content is within the range of 24.7–26.6 %, contributing to improved bread-making properties of the flour.

The yield of the Balada Myronovska variety reaches an average of 9.0–9.9 t/ha, confirming its high productivity.
