Batya

The soft winter wheat variety "Batyah" is a medium-maturing, dwarf type with high resistance to lodging. It is characterized by high winter hardiness and frost resistance, as well as drought and heat tolerance, making it adaptable to various soil and climatic conditions. The ear is awnless, of medium length, erect, and of medium density; the grain is red, slightly hairy, and semi-elongated. Due to high regenerative ability, the variety effectively forms new shoots and tillering, contributing to stable yield.

"Batyah" demonstrates high resistance to a range of diseases, including powdery mildew, brown rust, loose smut, barley yellow dwarf virus, pyrenophorosis, and head blight. The variety is well adapted to cultivation on fertilized non-fallow predecessors and various farming technologies, including intensive and medium-intensive methods. Average grain yield varies by region and reaches up to 58.3 c/ha in the Central Black Earth region.

The grain quality of the "Batyah" variety is highly rated by the bakery industry. Average protein content is 14.8%, gluten content is 28.2%, flour strength reaches 294 activity units, and bread volume from this flour reaches 395 cm³. Overall bread quality rating is 4.9 points, confirming its excellent baking properties and versatility.
