Winter hard wheat DIONA® is a high-quality grain wheat variety intended for producing grain with excellent technological characteristics. This mid-season variety is characterized by high resistance to lodging and drought, ensuring crop stability under various climatic conditions. Thanks to its properties, DIONA® is widely used in the production of flour, bread, and pasta, demonstrating satisfactory pasta qualities.

The variety exhibits high resistance to major wheat diseases such as brown rust, powdery mildew, yellow rust, septoria, and fusarium head blight. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 37 to 49 grams, while grain natural density reaches 800 g/l with a high level of grain inclination—98 %. Protein content in the grain is about 15.6 %, which improves the quality of the final product. The vegetation period of the variety ranges from 226 to 277 days, allowing it to be adapted to various agro-climatic zones.

Cultivation recommendations include early sowing campaigns with a seeding rate of about 6 million viable seeds per hectare. The variety is successfully grown in regions such as the North Caucasus and Lower Volga, as well as the Azov-Sea zone of the Rostov region, Forest Steppe, and Polesie. Over recent years, yields on experimental fields have reached 50.1 centners per hectare, confirming the high productivity and adaptability of the DIONA® variety.
