Felicia

Felicia is a variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), developed by intraspecific complex-step hybridization and registered in 2019. The plant is medium-height, with a height ranging from 71 to 93 cm, and has a pyramidal white ear of medium density. The mass of 1000 grains ranges from 43 to 48 grams. The variety belongs to the erythrosporum subspecies and is characterized by high resistance to lodging, ensuring stable crops under various conditions. Felicia has good winter hardiness, which is above average, and drought resistance at the level of the Moscow 39 variety. However, the variety is susceptible to powdery mildew, has medium resistance to brown rust, and high resistance to snow mold. Due to these characteristics, the variety is adapted for cultivation in the Central region, specifically in the Ryazan region, and is recommended for cultivation on dark-gray forest soils, podzolic soils, and chernozems using standard winter crop technology. The main advantages of the Felicia variety are high yield and excellent grain quality, making it in demand for flour and bread production, as well as for cereals and other food products. The average yield in the region is about 38.3 centners per hectare, with a maximum yield of up to 80.8 centners per hectare. The variety matures simultaneously with varieties such as Mera and Angelina, which allows for effective planning of agrotechnical measures.
