Description
IDILLIA is a soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) variety characterized by a mid-early maturity period and short stature. The vegetative period ranges from 224 to 267 days, ensuring high growth rates in the early spring. The plant has a semi-upright bush with an intermediate growth type, and the ear is pyramid-shaped, loose, white, and of medium length. The grain has an egg-shaped form with a shallow furrow and red coloration; the mass of 1000 grains varies from 35 to 46 grams. The variety shows high resistance to shattering during prolonged stay on the stem, as well as resistance to lodging. It exhibits high drought resistance and salt tolerance, making it suitable for cultivation in the Central zone of the Stavropol region and the North Caucasus region. The variety's winter hardiness is average. IDILLIA is resistant to hard heads, moderately susceptible to powdery mildew, but susceptible to brown rust, septoria, and fusarium of the ear. Average yield in the region is about 41.4 centners per hectare. Thanks to its agronomic characteristics and adaptability to adverse conditions, the IDILLIA variety is a reliable choice for farmers seeking to obtain a stable and quality yield of soft winter wheat. Its use promotes efficient land use in areas with arid climates and increased soil salinity.
