Description
Lebedushka — a soft wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) variety available in two variants: winter and spring. Winter Lebedushka wheat is characterized by a medium-early maturity period and a medium-height plant type with lodging resistance. This variety is recommended for cultivation in the Northern and Southern foothill zones of Krasnodar Krai, as well as in the North-Eastern and Eastern zones of Stavropol Krai. It is distinguished by high drought resistance and moderate winter hardiness, which allows for successful cultivation in arid climates. The mass of 1000 grains ranges from 37 to 46 grams, and the yield in the region reaches 46.8 centners per hectare. Lebedushka possesses excellent milling and baking qualities, making it in demand for the production of high-quality flour and bakery products.
Spring Lebedushka wheat is a medium-late and medium-height variety recommended for cultivation in the Saratov region, especially in the Right-Bank area and the Volga region districts. This variant of the variety is distinguished by resistance to shattering and rachis brittleness, as well as good threshability of the grain. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 29 to 40 grams. The yield in the region is about 10.8 centners per hectare, which exceeds the average standard by 1.2 centners. The plant has a semi-erect bush, a pyramidal spike of medium density with white grains. The vegetative period is 78-92 days, and maturation occurs 2-3 days later than standard varieties.
The Lebedushka variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging and drought, which ensures crop stability under various climatic conditions. The winter form of the variety is resistant to yellow and stem rust, powdery mildew, brown rust, and moderately resistant to septoria and glume fusarium. The spring form shows moderate resistance to brown rust and is weakly affected by loose smut in field conditions. These characteristics make Lebedushka a reliable choice for agricultural producers seeking to obtain high-quality and stable soft wheat yields.
