Description
OMSK YUBILEYNAYA is a variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), characterized by a medium-early maturity period and high productivity. The vegetative period is 77-88 days, which makes its maturation 2-3 days later than the variety 'Pamyati Azieva'. The plant is medium-height with a semi-erect bush and weak straw, which ensures resistance to lodging. The spike is pyramidal, of medium density, white in color, with colored grains. The mass of 1000 grains ranges from 36 to 42 grams, indicating large grains. The average yield in the Western Siberia region reaches 28.1 c/ha, while the maximum yield can reach 4.02 t/ha. The grain natural density is 723 g/l, indicating high grain quality.
The variety has good baking qualities, exceeding the standard in gluten content and bread yield. It is resistant to lodging, evidenced by an assessment of 4.7 points, and capable of forming high-quality grain. However, the variety is susceptible to certain diseases, such as solid smut, septoria, root rots, powdery mildew, and brown and stem rust, which requires attention in agronomic activities.
OMSK YUBILEYNAYA is recommended for cultivation in the Western Siberia region, in particular in the Omsk region, where it shows stable results. Due to its drought resistance at the level of the standard and resistance to lodging, the variety is suitable for conditions of the region with a variable climate. Its medium-early maturity period and high productivity make it an attractive choice for agricultural producers oriented towards obtaining quality grain and high yields.
