Description
Oxirchanka yubileyna — a mid-season winter soft wheat variety, registered in the State Register of Varieties of Ukraine since 2014. This variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, resistance to lodging and shattering, as well as high resistance to hard rust. The vegetation period is 280-285 days, allowing successful cultivation in the Polissya and Forest-Steppe regions. Plant height ranges from 80 to 95 cm, ensuring an optimal balance between yield and resistance to adverse weather conditions.
The variety exhibits high resistance to major wheat diseases such as powdery mildew, Fusarium head blight, root rots, septoria, brown rust, and hard rust. This significantly reduces the risk of yield loss and the need for large amounts of fungicides. Oxirchanka yubileyna belongs to the high-yielding type with a potential yield of up to 10 t/ha (100 c/ha), making it attractive for farmers focused on high yields.
In addition, the variety is characterized by high drought tolerance and regenerative capacity, enabling successful cultivation under variable climate conditions. The grain contains approximately 14.4% protein, and the thousand-grain weight ranges from 39.7 to 52 g, indicating high product quality. Seeds are produced by the Ivanovskaya Experimental-Selection Station and are available for purchase directly from the producer at a competitive price.
