YERSHOVSKAYA 36

YERSHOVSKAYA 36 is a variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) of the botanical variety Eritrospermum, created at the Yershovsky Experimental Station of Irrigated Agriculture. The plant is medium-height with a semi-erect bush, weak stem, pyramidal spike of medium density, white color with awns of medium length. The grain is large, elongated-oval, colored red. The vegetation period is 66-85 days, the variety is medium-maturing and ripens 2-3 days earlier than the standard Favorit.

The variety is distinguished by high productivity and resistance to adverse conditions. Yields in the Lower Volga region reach 15.3 c/ha, which significantly exceeds the indicators of the Favorit variety. Drought resistance is at the level of Favorit, and the variety also demonstrates tolerance to powdery bunt and brown rust, which ensures yield stability under various climatic conditions.

YERSHOVSKAYA 36 is recommended for cultivation in the Saratov and Volgograd regions, and is also promising for the Middle Volga, Ural, and Central Black Earth regions. The baking qualities of the variety are excellent, which makes it in demand for the production of high-quality flour and bakery products. The variety belongs to the semi-intensive type and is suitable for modern agricultural technologies.
