Zadumka Odeska

Zadumka Odeska is a high-quality winter soft wheat variety, characterized by high yield and resistance to adverse conditions. This medium-late maturing variety has a vegetation period of approximately 286-287 days and belongs to the high-intensity type with universal use on various agrofons and predecessors. The wheat seeds have oval-shaped red kernels, with a thousand-kernel weight of 42–45 g, meeting the requirements for strong wheat.

The Zadumka Odeska variety exhibits high resistance to major fungal diseases such as brown rust, powdery mildew, and fusarium of the ear, as well as high frost and winter hardiness. It is resistant to lodging and ear shattering, has excellent drought tolerance, and high requirement for vernalization. The ear is white in color, spindle-shaped, and medium-dense, which contributes to good yield formation.

Zadumka Odeska wheat is recommended for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones, demonstrating high yields — on average 59.2–68.7 c/ha, exceeding national standards by 8–15%. The crude protein content in the grain is 13.4–14.5%, and gluten content is 32–36%, making this variety attractive for various applications.
