Description
Late-ripening variety, developed at the All-Russian Research Institute of Fruit Crop Selection from crossing the varieties Rotte Schpeltze and Red Lake. Breeders: L.V. Bayanova, V.E. Dzhafarova, M.A. Makarkina. Since 2007, included in the State Register of Selection Achievements approved for use in the Central Chernozem region.
Strong-growing, slightly spreading, dense bush. One-year-old shoots are straight, thick, with a reddish "tan". Buds are large, narrow, on a broad, short stem, slightly deviated from the shoot. Petiole scar is wide, triangular.
Leaves are three- to five-lobed, large, light green, matte, not leathery, weakly hairy underneath, elongated. Leaf blade is flat, positioned horizontally. The central lobe is significantly larger than the lateral ones. The angle between the main veins of lateral lobes is acute. Basal lobes are poorly developed. Leaf base is straight or with a small notch. Teeth are small, blunt. Leaf petiole is long, medium thickness.
Flowers are small, deep blue-violet, with a distinct calyx. Sepals are pale yellow, not fused, not twisted, petals are small and narrow. Inflorescences are long (up to 12 cm including petiole), hanging, dense. Inflorescence axes are thin, hairy, with weak anthocyanic "tan". Petiole of inflorescence is long, thin, green. Flower stems are short, slightly curved, densely arranged.
Berries are medium-sized (0.5-0.7 g), one-dimensional, round, white, translucent, dry detachment, tart-sweet, dessert flavor, good gelling properties. Seeds are few, large. Chemical composition: soluble dry substances — 10.4%, total sugars — 7.6%, titratable acidity — 1.8%, ascorbic acid — 40.3%, P-active substances — 350.0 mg/100 g, pectin substances — 8.3%.
Frost-resistant, high-yielding, average multi-year yield is 15.0 t/ha (2.2 kg/plant under planting scheme 0.5 x 2.8 m), highly resistant to powdery mildew, moderately affected by leaf spot diseases, not resistant to red gall aphid.
Advantages of the variety: frost resistance, high yield, high resistance to powdery mildew, dessert berry flavor.
Disadvantages of the variety: large seeds, susceptible to red gall aphid.
