Description
Late-maturing variety, developed at the Southern Ural Research Institute of Fruit and Vegetable Growing and Potato Growing through open pollination of the 'Fayya Plodorodnaya' variety. Breeders: V.S. Ilyin and A.P. Gubenko. Since 1998, it has been included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements approved for use in the Central and Ural regions.
Strong, compact, dense bush. Growing stems are medium-thick, purple, hairless. Buds are small, elongated, oval with a pointed tip, light-brown, sessile. Petiole trace is narrow, rounded.
Leaf five-lobed, large, dark green, wrinkled, soft, blade bare, convex or concave, wavy. Lobes are pointed, central lobe slightly larger than lateral ones, with additional projections. Angle between central veins of lateral lobes ranges from acute to obtuse. Lateral lobes are broad, medium-length, oval with slightly pointed tips. Tips are directed sideways and slightly downward. Basal lobes are moderately expressed. Leaf base has a medium-sized, wide, rounded notch. Teeth are uneven, sharp, with noticeable 'claw', not curled. Petiole is long, medium-thick, slightly hairy, light-green, with anthocyanin edge.
Flowers are medium-sized, plate-shaped. Calyx is moderately expressed, matte-green with brown 'tan'. Sepals are shaped, straight or slightly curled, light-green with yellowish tint. Inflorescences are single or paired, medium-length (6 cm), dense. Axis is light-green, medium-thick, petiole is long, thin, green, slightly hairy.
Berries are medium to large (0.6-1.4 g), one-dimensional, round, red, with few seeds. Taste is sour-sweet, rating 4.4 points. Berries are versatile in use. Receptacle is round, closed. Peduncle is medium-length and width. Chemical composition: soluble solids — 12.2%, titratable acidity — 2.6%, ascorbic acid — 26.1 mg/100 g.
Winter-hardy, high-yielding, average multi-year yield is 15.7 t/ha, maximum — 34.0 t/ha (4.7-10.2 kg/plant), self-fertile (50.0%), weakly affected by powdery mildew and anthracnose.
Advantages of the variety: high yield and winter hardiness, disease resistance.
Disadvantages of the variety: insufficient berry size.
