Description
Altayский pepper is a fast-maturing and high-yielding vegetable, suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses. The plants of this variety are compact, 35-40 cm tall, with a large number of fruits that change position from upright to hanging downward as they ripen. The fruits are conical in shape, orange-red in color, weighing 200 to 350 grams, and have a wall thickness of 6-8 mm. The variety is resistant to blossom end rot, enhancing its reliability during cultivation. Altay pepper fruits are aromatic, juicy, and tender, making them an excellent choice for fresh consumption as well as for various winter preparations and freezing. The plant prefers sunny areas with light, fertile, and neutral soils. Cultivation is done by seedlings: seeds are sown in February into seed trays with soil mix to a depth of no more than 1 cm, at a temperature of 23-25°C. Seedlings are transplanted into open ground in early June with spacing of 40x40 cm. For successful growth, regular but abundant watering with warm water and nitrogen fertilizers is required. Altay pepper seeds are suitable for various climatic conditions and soils, making them versatile for agricultural use. The plant develops well after crops such as carrots, cabbage, beets, legumes, and cucurbits. Due to its characteristics and ease of cultivation, the Altay variety is an excellent choice for gardeners and farmers aiming to obtain a high-quality and flavorful pepper harvest.
