CHAPAY

The sweet pepper variety Chapaï is a mid-season, high-yielding variety suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under plastic coverings. The plant is semi-spreading or semi-stemmed, compact, and of medium height — about 40-50 cm. The period from germination to technical maturity is 100-110 days, allowing for a stable harvest in various climatic conditions.

The fruits of the Chapaï pepper have a conical shape, glossy surface, and distinctive coloration: green in technical maturity and bright red in biological maturity. Fruit weight ranges from 50 to 90 grams, with a wall thickness of up to 4 mm, ensuring good fleshiness and juiciness. This variety is prized for its sweet, aromatic flesh with high vitamin, microelement, and mineral salt content, making it both nutritious and flavorful.

The Chapaï pepper is versatile in use, especially recommended for whole-fruit canning due to its dense structure and attractive appearance. The fruits withstand long-distance transportation well, expanding their application in commercial cultivation and sales. Yield in open ground in southern regions reaches 1.65 kg per square meter, and according to the breeder, up to 4.8 kg per square meter, indicating high productivity of this variety.
