Description
The fruits of 'Golden Ox' have an attractive cube or conical shape with a wall thickness of 5-7 mm and a weight ranging from 150 to 250 g. At biological maturity, they turn golden-yellow or orange, possessing a sweet, juicy, and crisp flavor. Thanks to their high content of carotene and vitamin C, the fruits are not only delicious but also nutritious. The variety is excellent for fresh consumption, as well as for making salads, frying, stewing, and stuffing.
Growing 'Golden Ox' pepper requires adherence to certain agronomic practices: sowing seedlings is recommended in late February with seed depth of about 1 cm, and transplanting occurs in the cotyledon stage. Transplanting into greenhouses or open ground is conducted at the end of May to early June with spacing of 50x50 cm. To shape the bush, side shoots and lower leaves should be removed before the first fork, and mature plants require staking. It is important to avoid planting near hot pepper varieties to prevent cross-pollination and maintain the sweet taste of the fruits.
