Description
The Igalo F1 fruits are large, cube-shaped, measuring about 12x12 cm and weighing 200–250 grams. In technical ripeness, they are dark green, and in biological ripeness, they turn a vibrant yellow with a dense, glossy skin. The fruit wall thickness is 8.5–9 mm, giving them excellent density and market appearance. The flavor is outstanding, making this hybrid popular for fresh consumption as well as for commercial sale. The fruits are well-suited for transportation, enhancing their commercial appeal.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to several viral diseases, including Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV 0–3), Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus (TSWV), Pepper Yellow Mosaic Virus (PepYMV), and is tolerant to Potato Virus Y (PVY). Additionally, Igalo F1 is resistant to temperature stress, allowing cultivation in various climatic conditions. The optimal age for transplanting seedlings is 50–60 days, at a density of 2.5–3 plants per square meter, with a planting scheme of 70x50 cm. The yield of this hybrid varies from 7 to 12 kg per square meter depending on growing conditions.
