Description
The peppers of Lumos have a cube-like shape with smooth walls and well-defined lobes. Their size is approximately 9 by 10 centimeters, and their weight ranges from 220 to 250 grams, sometimes exceeding this. Wall thickness reaches 9-10 mm, making the flesh very succulent and meaty. In technical maturity, the fruits are a deep green, while in biological maturity they exhibit a bright lemon-yellow hue. The pepper has a pleasant sweet taste and high dry matter and juice content, making it popular for fresh consumption, thermal processing, and canning.
The vegetation period is 65-70 days from transplanting seedlings to the permanent location, with the first fruits maturing as early as day 60-65. The hybrid exhibits rapid and uniform fruit setting with consistent ripening intervals, ensuring a stable yield. Lumos F1 is resistant to blossom-end rot and tobacco mosaic virus, maintains good market appearance during transport and storage, making it attractive for market sale and various processing applications.
