Description
Macar Pepper is characterized by synchronized fruit ripening and high fruit set, with up to 8-12 fruits per plant. In technical ripeness, the fruits are green, and in biological ripeness, they turn a deep red, while the flavor remains sweet both in green and red states. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation both in open and protected ground, making it versatile for various climatic conditions and uses, including fresh market, processing, and freezing.
Special attention has been given to the variety's disease resistance: it tolerates wilting and leaf infections well, has high resistance to Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV) and Pepper Mosaic Virus (PMMoV:1,2,3), and moderate resistance to Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus (TSWV). Macar Pepper responds well to improved agronomic practices, allowing for a significant increase in quality and quantity of yield depending on growing conditions.
